website For Art Fair 14C 2023, I shared a booth with three wonderful artists. Our booth showcased the work in encaustic, sculpture, ceramics and handmade / works on paper. Viewers were invited to explore both the inherent qualities and textures of the materials used by each artist and their narratives within each body of work. Studio view, Jersey City, NJ BIO / DICHIARAZIONE Megan Klim è un'artista mixed media che vive e lavora a Jersey City, nel New Jersey. Ha ricevuto il suo MFA dalla Cranbrook Academy of Art nella disciplina della pittura. Il suo lavoro di media misti giustappone diversi materiali su un piano pittorico evidenziando le loro qualità intrinseche per creare tensione superficiale, innescando così una conversazione e un'interazione tra di loro. Una presenza fisica è evidente nei suoi pezzi da superfici encaustiche ruvide, carta perforata a strutture simili a griglie fatte di filo, filo metallico o stoffa. I temi di Klim di solito fanno riferimento all'idea di un interno / esterno così come alla struttura rispetto al gesto.
